How we investigate.

A little more about us:

We are a self taught ghost hunting group always willing to teach others, and learn new ways to investigate. A lot of our investigators have had prior experiences with entities, and want to capture proof on film, and help others who are struggling with similar experiences. We are professional and always leave the location as it was when we got there.

We know it's not easy to ask for help with this sort of experience because many people do not believe in the paranormal. I know what that is like from a personal stand point. When I (Maggie) tried to tell my parents the kind of stuff that was occurring in the house they wouldn't believe me. Rest assured we do believe you and are always ready to help. Since we are a scientific team, we will always try to debunk first.

Professionalism and Privacy is a number one concern for us. We will never give out personal information and will only post evidence if you give us permission. Even with your permission no personal information would be posted. Example: Case File 010 010110- Private Residence, or Case File 010 010110 Business name here.

How we go about investigating:

Important: If you’re not the owner of the location please get their consent to do an investigation. We will need the owner to sign a release form stating it is ok for us to be investigating there and also stating that they are not liable for any injuries we may incur, (No injuries yet but it is a precaution.) and whether we can release any evidence on our site.

For in home investigations:

Once you contact us we will set up a time to come and meet you and your family. We will ask you a few questions about the experiences you have had and where they occurred. We may also ask for a 'hot spot' tour of your home. A 'hot spot' is a location that you have experience spirit activity. This will give us an idea of where to place equipment during the investigation, as well as how many investigators that can come.

The only people that come to a 'Hot Spot ' tour are the 2 founders, lead investigator, and the tech manager.

We request that all kids and animals (except quite animals like fish etc.) not be present during the night of the investigation. (We understand that sometimes that is not always able to happen.)

We will then set up a night where we can come back and do the investigation. We require at least a 5-6 hour time period to investigate, if not longer. The best would be 8 hours because that gives up enough time to set up all the equipment with out being rushed. It take and hour usually to set up/lock down the DVR. It would usually be a Friday -Sunday night unless you want another night. (Depending on schedules at that time.)

Investigations usually start at 7pm or 8pm ending around 12- 4am depending on preference.

We start out with a K2 EMF Detector sweep of the home. EMF stands for electro-magnetic field. It can detect high fluctuations in magnetic fields. For example the electricity that runs in wires or the frequencies in our radios. This is to get a base line reading of the home. As a side note: High EMF readings in a home that are consistently there may cause the people living there to feel sick or depressed or feel like they are being watched.

Next we set up our DVR (Digital Video Recorder).

We have 4 I/R cameras with night vision. Each camera has 100 feet of cord both of which need to be locked down, we do so with masking tape and painters tape which is not hard on wood. All cords must be tapped down so no one trips on them. This process takes an hour to do usually.

We use a device called a dazzle. This allows the DVR to hook up properly to the laptop that we bring. This way we can see the cameras.

Once the DVR is set up and recording we begin the investigation, sending teams out in 2 groups.

During the night we will take a lot of pictures and video. We will use the K2 EMF Detector to try to communicate with any nearby spirits and use a digital voice recorder to try to pick up voices or noises we may not hear with our ears. These are known as EVPs. (Electronic Voice Phenomenon)

After the investigation we will pack up our gear, taking all of our trash with us.

It will take us 2 weeks up to a month depending on how many hours of footage we have. We will arrange a day to come back to go over and evidence we may have caught. At this time we will also try to debunk some experience we had while at the investigation if we need to. That is if you want to see the evidence.

We will give you a copy of any evidence we find as well as our DVR footage if you state that you want it. Again we will only post the evidence if you allow it.

For Businesses:

We will set up a night to investigate. Usually a Friday -Sunday night starting any where from 7:00-8:00pm lasting to any where between 3:00-4:30am depending on the owners preference. If possible we may also ask for a 'hot spot' tour of your business. A 'hot spot' is a location that you have experience spirit activity. This will give us an idea of where to place equipment during the investigation, as well as how many investigators that can come.

If we have not come prior for a 'Hot Spot' tour we will request one after we pay any entrance fees if any apply, as well as having the business owner/worker sign the release form.

After that we will bring in our equipment and the rest of our investigators for the regular tour of the place, for those people that have not seen the place.
